Parents of Miente are: Folkert Viersen and Maria Wilhelmina Dijkstra Parents of Hiltje are: Hendrik Snip and Aaltje Stokroos

The above document shows that Miente was part of the resistance during the Second World War.

He was arrested on October 21, 1944, and transferred to the Scholtenshuis in Groningen, and later relocated to the Westerbork camp, where he was executed on October 28, 1944. It is likely that Klaas-Carel Faber was partly responsible for his death.
